Motion Disabled: Faces is a complex exhibition which makes use of state of the art equipment, commonly associated with computer games, film and television.
Simon worked with a 5 disabled actors to capture their facial motion using the motion capture lab at Teesside University, with working alongside amazing team members.
Technical Director and animation manager Craig McMullen oversaw the whole process with Simon from the onset.
The images on the right show how the process was undertaken at various stages, including laser 3d scans, video, photography, sound, motion capture markers and recording along with computer graphic work such as the building of the virtual 3D heads.
